Make a dream come true. that is the case of  an australian woman that can now fulfill her dream of seeing herself swimming thanks to her mermaid tail.

A veces hacer de una ilusión la realidad es mucho más sencillo de lo que parecía en un comienzo. Y si no que se lo digan a esta mujer australiana que ahora puede cumplir su sueño al verse nadando gracias a una cola de sirena.

Nadya Vessey, that says she is nearly 50 years old, was born with a malformation of her legs, and they had to be amputated when she was 7. Two years before she contacted a company of special effects, Weta Workshop, the same that created the visual effects of “The Lord of the Rings”, The Chronicles of Narnia” aand ” King Kong”.

The director of the company, Richard Taylor, said that the tail not only had to be functional , but also had to look real, so that Vessey looked bueautiful.

And now Nadya went from being a handicaped to turn into a mermaid.

Nadya Vessey, quien dice tener cerca de 50 años, nació con una malformación en las piernas, por lo que éstas le debieron ser amputadas sucesivamente a los siete y a los 16 años. Hace dos años que había solicitado ayuda a una compañía de efectos especiales, Weta Workshop, la misma que creó los efectos visuales para la película “El señor de los anillos”, “Las crónicas de Narnia” o “King Kong”.

El director de dicha empresa, Richard Taylor, dijo que la cola no sólo debía ser funcional, sino que tenía que lucir real, algo muy importante para que la señora Vessey luciera bella.

Y ahora Nadya ha dejado se ser una mujer discapacitada para convertirse, según ella, en la pequeña sirenita.

Ahora se abren las apuestas para ver lo que tarda la empresa en comecializar el invento en distintos ámbitos de la actualidad, así como el éxito que de seguro obtendrá porque ¿quién no quiso alguna vez lanzarse al agua y convertirse en sirena cuando apenas era una niña?
